Tonie Carroll Broncos Cup

On Saturday 21 March, thirty eight of our year 7 rugby league students attended the annual Tonie Carroll Broncos Cup in Beenleigh.

This is the highest level of competition available to year 7 students in South East Queensland and gave our students a good opportunity to witness the performance standards required to compete at this level. Students had the opportunity to meet Tonie Carroll at the conclusion of the day.

Forest Lake SHS entered two teams in the Emerging Group and finished second and fourth for the carnival. A very good effort considering this was the first competitive game of rugby league for many of these students.

Coaches were given a Broncos gift pack at the beginning of the day to be awarded to the best player for each team. The winners of the awards packs were Reece for Forest Lake Green and Steve for Forest Lake Blue.

Thank you to all parents who attended the day, and to Mark Clancy for his support on this weekend to help provide a fantastic opportunity for our students.
