Student services and support programs

Forest Lake State High School provides a range of support services and accesses community support services, for students with personal or academic needs which impact on their schooling or inhibits their capacity to reach their individual and educational goals.

Telephone the school administration on 3714 2333 for further information about how the student services staff can assist you or to make an appointment.

Support staff and services include:

Guidance Officers (GO) -

Lina Law works on Mon, Tue, Wed and Thurs

Anne Futcher Mon - Fri

Provide guidance and counselling services to students on a range of matters related to course and career planning, tertiary entrance, family and relationship issues, mental health, and educational support. 

School Based Youth Health Nurse (SBYHN) - Helen Dunkley works on Mon, Wed and Thurs

Provides support for students who either self-refer or are referred by staff members on health related matters. Supports and delivers lessons in the PODs and ACCESS programs regarding sex education, drug and alcohol education, and a range of health issues.

Youth Support Coordinator (YSC) - Cath Webber

Provides support to young people and their families to address issues contributing to risk of homelessness or early separation from school.  Also supports young people to address issues that are impacting on their ability to complete or achieve in education and training.
