This
term the students in the Academic Program of Excellence were tasked with an
independent passion based learning (PBL) project.
Students were to take the opportunity to focus their learning on a special
topic of interest or a skill they were wanting to acquire.
The PBL Expo was held on Wednesday after school and allowed students, staff and
parents to see the amazing results of the hours of work that had gone into
these projects.
I was so impressed by the breadth of knowledge that was displayed by our
students, from artistic endeavours like oil pastels, music production and
keyboard playing, to the scientific research into the fields of astronomy,
psychology and time travel.
We were treated to a whip-cracking display and many tasty treats provided by
the budding chefs.
A big congratulations to all students for your efforts everything really was
amazing.
Finally, huge thanks to all the parents and caregivers involved, without your
support (and transportation of supplies) the event wouldn't be possible.
