At Forest
Lake SHS we have high expectations of every student, every class, everyday,
which is displayed through engaging and meaningful lessons for all students.
Our focus is to have students in class, engaged in the quality learning
programs provided by our dedicated teachers.
PRIDE
expectations are the foundation of our school values and underpin everything
that we do. PRIDE stands for:
PREPARED RESPECTFUL INCLUSIVE DEDICATED ENGAGED
Our school
has a PRIDE focus each week where students are taught positive behaviours. A variety of rewards are provided to students
when they display our behaviour expectations ranging from PRIDE stickers,
purchased from the PRIDE shop, class rewards and eligibility for pass-outs,
PRIDE excursions, and Senior Jerseys.
The school
has a formal process for dealing with inappropriate behaviours in the classroom
and playground which includes a wide range of strategies ranging from
time-outs, buddy classes, detentions (lunchtime or after-school), through to
more significant disciplinary absences such as suspensions, cancellations and
exclusions. These strategies are
detailed in the Student Code of Conduct.
