Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)
In 2024 we transitioned to a full Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) school.
We know that when every child in the classroom has their individual device, teachers can use future-focused teaching and learning experiences. This results in students being more engaged and successful in their learning and that they will develop improved technology skills and meet our school purpose to become successful global citizens.
Parents have the option to purchase a device for their child or to participate in the school 'Laptop4Rent' Scheme. To support parent/carers the school has developed a number of key documents located in the links on the right hand side.
We have already embraced the use of technology in learning with students using QLearn and mandatory electronic assessment submission through Turnitin. In 2024 we extended this with the Education Perfect Platform for students in the junior school. BYOD will open up many other opportunities for teachers to access the wide range of digital learning experiences for students.
