Pathways Centre - Vocational Education and Training (VET)

The Pathways Centre (Namatjira Block) provides information, advice and support to students regarding a range of vocational education programs (including TAFE, other Registered Training Organisations, work based programs), school based traineeships and apprenticeships, and support in helping students gain employment.

Students are able to undertake nationally recognised vocational education and training (VET) qualifications while they are still at school.

VET is learning that is directly related to work. Nationally recognised qualifications are developed by industry to give people the knowledge and skills they need to work in a particular job.

Students can undertake VET at school:

  • as part of their school studies - delivered and resourced by our school which is a registered training organisation (RTO 30288)

  • by enrolling in a qualification with an external RTO - funded either by the Department of Education and Training's VET investment budget or through fee-for-service arrangements i.e. where the student or parent pays for the qualification.

Every year we seek to improve our courses and welcome input from industry delegates. If you are interested in helping us build quality qualifications to meet the needs of local business, please contact us.
