A Special Education Program (SEP) operates within the school. This program provides intensive disability specific support for students with a verified disability in the following categories:

  • Intellectual Disability (ID)
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Speech-Language Impairment (SLI)
  • Hearing Impairment (HI)
  • Vision Impairment (VI)
  • Physical Impairment (PI)

Additional support is provided through Advisory Visiting Teachers (AVT) for students with a hearing, vision or physical impairment.

Each student in the SEP is allocated a Program Manager from within the SEP Teacher team who act as the point of contact between school and home, and facilitate disability specific adjustments and intervention as appropriate.

A Transition program occurs each year for the students from our local Primary schools. The program is developed in consultation with these Primary schools and traditionally includes a number of visits to the school across term 3 and 4.
